Building Her Own Creative Language

In Miami, Leidy co-founded InsideMiso Art, creating a space where she could continue developing her artistic language through contemporary dance, choreography, performance, education, movement research, and collaboration. InsideMiso represents an important evolution in her journey: moving from interpreting creative ideas to developing, directing, and giving shape to creative worlds of her own

Leidy Torres is a Cuban multidisciplinary creative based in Miami whose work moves across dance, choreography, creative direction, production, digital ecosystems, and content creation. Her journey began in Cuba, where she trained professionally at the National School of Dance and developed contemporary movement as her first creative language. Dance became more than a profession; it shaped the way she observes, communicates, collaborates, and transforms ideas into experiences.

Throughout her career, Leidy has performed and collaborated across Cuba, the United States, and Mexico, developing experience in contemporary and commercial dance, television, stage productions, and audiovisual projects. Her path has included collaborations connected to artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Paulina Rubio, Gloria Estefan, and Xander Ferreira. But as her career evolved, her curiosity began moving beyond performing. She became increasingly interested in what happens before something reaches the stage: where the idea comes from, how it develops, how people and resources connect, and how a creative vision becomes something real. That curiosity naturally expanded her work into choreography, education, production, and creative direction.

Tobeleidy Today

Today, all of those experiences live together through Tobeleidy. Movement remains the foundation of her artistic practice through InsideMiso Art. To Be Creative Studio allows her to work with ideas from another perspective, building creative direction and digital ecosystems for artists, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. Content creation gives her another language through which to experiment with visual storytelling and collaborate with brands.

What may appear to be different disciplines are, for Leidy, different expressions of the same creative mind. She believes creativity does not belong to a single profession or medium. An idea can become movement, a performance, a digital experience, a visual identity, a piece of content, or something completely unexpected.Creativity doesn’t belong to a single discipline. It moves, evolves, connects, and finds new ways to exist.That is the philosophy behind Tobeleidy: a space where every chapter of Leidy’s journey can coexist, and where she can continue exploring what it means to create.

Beyond the Stage

As Leidy became involved in larger creative projects, her practice naturally expanded beyond the stage. Production introduced her to audiovisual storytelling, digital platforms, content development, project management, and the systems that allow creative ideas to exist and grow. Her experience eventually expanded into projects such as Sensanova and La Casa de Yuly, where creativity required not only artistic vision but also organization, production, communication, and digital execution.

Through that evolution, something became clear: the disciplines were changing, but her creative process remained the same. She was always trying to understand an idea, find its direction, organize its elements, build it, and find the best way to communicate it.
